Nova Sun

And then, One Sun, you grew beyond
     The boundaries of your limits.
     Uncontrolled, your flames of rage
     Engulfed the stars in minutes.

     A thousand times intensely glowed
     The powers of your heart.
With sizzling scars upon the stars
     You burned the Heavens apart.

The horror changed your mind, of course.
     But once a nova flares
     It dissipates, disperses far --
     The surrounding life it impairs.

It's cold and lonely out in space
     Without One Sun to warm.
Yet how naive it feels to pray
     That One Sun be reborn!
