Tender Threads

Sister of midnight, Blossom of snow --
Five times 'round the star we go.
     First in love, unconcious yet
Dwelling in madness the closer we get.
Look in your mirror. Can you not see
The trembling claw marks you throw at me?
Spirit of power, play on your game
But always the image remains the same.
Red roses on your threshold drip
Of fresh blood oozing from your lip.
     Bitter silence and dagger tears
Cannot pay homage to growing fears.
Charge twin bull. Lower your horn.
Cast a spell and stay forlorn.
Embattled night, but come the dawn
The star of morning still shines on.
Blaze away if burn you must.
     But in love, remember trust.
To your reflection I give the light.
May it heal your heart and make it right.
